From Africa students enjoyed zebras, camels, and a servile. From South America there were llamas who loved to be pet and fed. Wallabies hopped on over from Australia for a look at the kids. Yaks from Asia were fed hay while a zebu found the students interesting to watch. Icelandic ponies from Iceland were described as hard workers who are well able to thrive in the cold. The beautiful peacocks fanned their tails to show their plumage. Peacocks originated in India.
They certainly were not acting wild or being mean in any way. I asked her twice to please not do this in front of the girls and to stop yelling. She continued to loudly rant in front of a group of young kids. I walked away and took my daughter to the side and asked quietly if the owner had been being mean on the trail ride.
She replied no, thankfully. Though one of the other girls said she had been loud and bossy. This leader was only trying to make sure that the other group would be able to ride as well. The owner screamed at our leader and asked for our troop number because she was calling to report us to council.
She finally decided to allow the other group of girls to ride but said two of them would have to ride together on the same horse because she refused to go with the second group. Never have I seen an adult act this way with children present. This is clearly how her personality is under every circumstance because we were nothing but respectful there. Such a nice person! She was knowledgeable about the animals, answered all of our questions and was really kind to all of us.
Jennifer has a great personality and is perfectly suited for her job. The other owner came to meet with us at the end to get the final numbers for the rides and tours. He was very nice to all of us and thanked us for coming out today. Lisa M 1 contribution. Disappointing for cost of admission.
I guess, for the price of admission plus tour, I was expecting more, including maybe more of a tour. She did however share which animals had previously escaped, why the donkey was in solitary confinement he impregnated all the ponies and instructed my toddler to feed only this animal, but not this one who was directly next to the animal she was to feed , because he bites. The animals were great, but the zebras were so far off in the field that we couldn't see them, and the other animals were mostly dogs, chickens and goats.
I'm sure the owners are very sweet, but for the money paid even with the Groupon , it really was a waste, I'm sad to say. Lazy 5 Ranch has much more animal interaction and they are very comparable in cost of admission. Jacqueline G Dunnellon, FL 14 contributions.
The two young ladies that did our tour lacked knowledge of the exotic animals. The zebras were no where to be found.
We took our 10 yr. Not as much interaction as we expected. On top of the admission price, you have to also purchase feed. LenoraEfird Georgetown, SC 64 contributions. Your children will love this place It is a nice afternoon on the farm!

Busy horse show grounds, the Inn above the owner's barn has large bunk rooms for a dozen single bunks, several rooms with queen or king beds, nightly bonfires, pool table, full kitchen, two living rooms, and a full size dining area.
You can bring your own horse or rent one from the Ark for trail rides, "cowboy course", covered riding area, and several other fenced riding rings. Camels, zebras, peacocks, and many other exotic animals. Ken W Columbus, GA 7 contributions. This is not a tourist attraction, but a private collection. I think they've done a good job with it. Fun for the kids. We went to this ranch with my in-laws, my 2 year old and some relatives. We have you covered with multiple venues for birthday parties, weddings, company outings, family gatherings and equestrian events.
Whatever the event, we will work with you to make your dreams a reality. Why Not come visit the farm? Bring your camera, a picnic and stay for a while! If you're looking for a weekend getaway with a little twist then look no further! Amy and Jeff are amazing to talk to and are very accommodating.
