Who is foolish games about

My Opinion I think this song is about someone that is completely enthralled with someone you connect with on a deeper level than you ever have with anyone else before, and that person possibly don't know her feelings yet or has reasons to keep her at bay , and she is dealing with the raw emotions of how he makes her feel. For some reason, she can't just spill on him and tell him how she really feels, and this frustrates her.

There is something holding them back, but her heart is racing out of control, longing for something he gives her. Something she has waited her whole life for, but her lack of confidence in the situation leaves her to question whether what she feels is real, or whether he has the same feelings. I think this whole song is an interpersonal battle of emotions.

This person leaves her feeling vulnerable, unsure, scared at what the possibility of the rest of her life looks like without him in it, but has no choice but to keep going on. She lashes out You were too cool to care because the energy needed to go somewhere. What a beautiful, and meaningful song. General Comment Jewel is an amazing singer. The way she expresses her feelings is amazing and very true.

She sings about things that don't only orcould happen to her but also to her fans. I think she is just soo amazing and so real. This song really makes her shine brighter. No other artist can compare to her.. Foolish games.. It's like the guy doesn't know love or how to love.. RockerDI04 on May 27, Link.

General Comment this song is truly beautiful. General Comment when this song first came out when i was a lot younger She has no choice but to keep going on. Her voice sounds like she is on the brink of breaking down. There is so much depth in it, and so much pain. A year later, it evolved into a song. On the Billboard Hot it peaked at number 2. The song topped the charts in Canada, reached number 12 in Australia, number 10 in Netherlands, number 8 in Belgium and peaked at number 23 in New Zealand.

These lyrics hold so true to what I have experienced in my life with a certain man. I always felt like I was on the outside looking in. Misfit versus prom queen. What does it all mean? Kind of creepy, goth Japanese girls were everywhere in the late 90s.

Jewel was ahead of the curve, incorporating them into this video. Madonna would loot the trend later see: the video for "Frozen" and most promotional appearances surrounding the release of Ray of Light.

But what does it all mean? After that, things kinda melt into a pool of pouting and drifting around wistfully like the bastard child of Angela Chase and The Crow, but hey, it's nice to look at. I know I co-opted the vibes on display every time I wore anything with a sheer layer. It was all so metaphoric of greater romantic angst—the whole notion of people thinking they can see through to your insides, but really you've got this impenetrable shell to protect you—even though, in real life, said impenetrable shell was made of highly-flammable synthetic material….

This shit is deep. It melded the vulnerability of Dawson's Creek with the dark-and-sexiness of Stevie Nicks, and before things like Evanescence eviscerated witch-style of any and all originality, "Foolish Games" let the average gal yes, even YOU, Alaskan yodelers! Karen Ruttner is loving the 90s on Twitter. You stood in my doorway, with nothing to say, Besides some comment on the weather. Well in case you failed to notice, In case you failed to see, This is my heart bleeding before you, This is me down on my knees… and.

These foolish games are tearing me apart. And your thoughtless words are breaking my heart. Your philosophies on art, Baroque moved you You loved Mozart. I hid my soiled hands behind my back, Somewhere along the line, I must have gone off track with you.
